34 week update

Here we are folks... 34 weeks.  After the emergency lap band removal a few weeks ago, I have been feeling very anxious about childbirth and the baby's health.  Mostly I think I just need to see my little girl with my own eyes and know that she is well.  She is still kicking the crap out of me so that is very reassuring.

I had my visit today with my OB and he said she is still breech.  He said that he wants to check again in 2-3 weeks and then if she hasn't turned, we have some decisions to make.  He said that he can try to turn her or we can just schedule the C-section.  I am leaning towards just scheduling.  I am not thrilled about another abdominal surgery (still recovering from the last one! ) but I can't deny the appeal of having a set date and being able to make plans.  Otherwise, we'll see what happens.  He told me to "think gravitational thoughts."

Otherwise, she seems very healthy and he was happy with how I am doing.  My - how fast the time flies!

Love, Riah

I hear from my sister who's last pregnancy was breech until very late...that she found stretches that you can do to help encourage them to flip.  It helped her baby move, and they were already to the discussions of turning the baby- which she was not going to allow (there are some dangers to the baby)...I would say google the stretches and try- it can't hurt.  I know my first pregnancy my daughter was breech until about 33 or 34 weeks I want to say..Good luck- I did end up having a c-sections (not because she was breech)...and recover y was okay.  I am scheduled for another section on Nov. 5th.

I have also heard of some different things you can do to give the baby more room so they are able to turn for you. I would just Google it. If my baby is breeched I don't think I am going to allow them to try to turn him/her. My best friend had that issue and they pushed on the baby for 1 full hours worth of contractions then at birth they come to find out his amniotic sac was too small and every contraction was very traumatizing to him and he came out not breathing and in return has cerebral palsy. Because of that I just don't want to risk it!! That's just so scary to think about!
